About Sillara

Sillara is a small American company selling lighting for the home. We are registered in Wyoming and we ship across the United States.

We carry a short range on purpose. Most lighting shops list thousands of fittings and leave you to work out which of them is any good. We would rather carry fifteen things we can explain than fifteen hundred we cannot.

Light you can live with
Warm, low and directional beats bright and even. We look for pieces that throw light downward or across a surface rather than flooding a ceiling, because that is what makes a room feel settled after dark rather than merely lit.
It has to work where you need it
A great deal of good lighting is useless because there is no socket where the light should go. Cordless and rechargeable pieces solve that, so we carry a lot of them alongside the fittings that are meant to be permanent and invisible.
Plain over decorative
A light that draws attention to itself is competing with everything else in the room. We favour pieces that read as part of the architecture — a shade, an arm, and nothing else.
Described honestly
Every piece lists its real specifications: sizes, power, colour temperature, how it is mounted. Where we do not know something, we say so rather than filling the gap with a phrase that sounds good.

Direct, not warehoused
We ship from our manufacturing partners rather than holding a warehouse of our own. That keeps prices closer to what a piece is actually worth, and it means delivery takes longer than a next-day courier. The timings are set out in full on our shipping page rather than buried at checkout.
A person reads your email
Write to support@sillara.net with the room, the height and what the light is for, and you will get an answer from someone who has looked at the range — not a form reply pointing you back at the site.
Thirty days to change your mind
Lighting is difficult to judge from a photograph. If a piece is not right in the room, send it back unused in its original packaging within thirty days.
